Let’s take a closer look at your skin…

Your skin can tell us a lot, but sometimes you need to look a little deeper. As part of my skin consultations, I use the Meicet Skin Analyzer to get a much more detailed picture of what’s actually going on beneath the surface.

The MC88 uses advanced multi-spectral imaging to capture your skin in different ways, helping to identify concerns that may not be visible to the naked eye. It’s not about finding problems for the sake of it. It’s about understanding your skin properly, so we can make much more informed decisions about what it needs.

What does the MC88 look at?
The MC88 can analyse a range of common skin concerns, including:

  • Pigmentation and uneven skin tone

  • Redness and areas of sensitivity

  • Pores

  • Acne and congestion

  • Wrinkles and fine lines

  • Deeper pigmentation
Changes in the skin over time

It uses five different types of light, including standard RGB light, polarised light, UV light and Wood’s light. Each one shows us something slightly different. Some images highlight what we can already see, while others can reveal changes or areas of concern that are much less obvious.

See your skin differently
One of the things I particularly like about the MC88 is that it gives us something much more useful than simply looking in a mirror.

We can compare different images of your skin and, when appropriate, compare your skin over time. This can be really useful when we're monitoring pigmentation, redness, texture or other concerns and assessing how your skin is responding to treatment and skincare.

And because we're looking at your skin in a consistent way, it gives us a much better starting point for creating a treatment and skincare plan that's actually relevant to you.

It's not about chasing perfect skin
I’m not interested in convincing you that you need to fix every little line, pore or change in your skin.

Skin is supposed to look like skin.

The MC88 is simply another tool that helps me understand your skin in more detail, so that any treatment or skincare recommendations I make are based on what your skin actually needs, rather than guesswork.

Sometimes the best result is doing less. Sometimes we need to address something that's been quietly developing beneath the surface. And sometimes the scan simply confirms that what you're already doing is working.

Your skin. Your treatment plan
Your MC88 analysis forms part of a wider consultation. I'll always take into account your skin, your concerns, your lifestyle, your previous treatments and, most importantly, what you're hoping to achieve.

Because technology is useful, but it doesn't replace experience, clinical judgement or listening to you.
